Why us?

Our guides go beyond listings — they tell stories. Through narrative, photography, and thoughtful design, they create a lasting impression of place and inspire deeper exploration.

Field & Fold reaches culturally curious, design-aware travellers who value meaningful experiences. Our audience engages deeply, shares recommendations, and makes considered choices, putting your destination or business in front of people who notice value and influence others.

We also champion responsible, immersive travel — encouraging slower exploration, longer stays, and stronger connections with local communities. Featuring sustainable experiences aligns your destination with an audience that values ethical, mindful choices.

Partnering with Field & Fold associates your destination, hotel, or business with a trusted brand known for quality, authenticity, and thoughtful design — helping you stand out in a crowded travel landscape.

Our philosophy

Our guides & formats

The Fieldguide

The Fieldguide is Field & Fold’s flagship format — a comprehensive, narrative-led guide to a place. Each edition offers a deep dive into a city, island, or region, with carefully curated recommendations organised by neighbourhood/area and enriched with cultural, historical, and experiential context.
Designed as the cornerstone of the Field & Fold ecosystem, every other guide and feature builds around it, allowing readers to explore a destination in layers. The Field Guide to London will be the first of these, launching soon.

The Quick Fold

A collection of short-form itineraries for slow weekends, first-time visits, or trips built around a single theme — culture, history, food, and more. Designed to help you experience a place with ease, clarity, and a little structure, without overplanning the joy out of it.

20,000 steps in…

Walking guides for exploring a destination on foot, with thoughtfully mapped routes that can follow a clear path or be shaped around different content pillars. Created for curious travellers who want to move at a city’s pace and uncover its character step by step.

The Long Fold

Itineraries for longer stays — one week, two weeks, or beyond — designed to help you settle into a place more deeply and travel with rhythm rather than rush. These guides balance structure and flexibility, blending highlights, neighbourhood time, and slower moments that make a trip feel fuller.

Fieldnotes

Location-specific guides shaped around a place’s most distinctive qualities, from its landscapes and rituals to its stays, food, and atmosphere. Each one is tailored to the spirit of the destination, whether that means wine routes in Portugal, thermal waters in Iceland, or design-led retreats in Japan.
